"THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY"

This term we have to read a book which we'd chosen in class. And I chose "The picture of Dorian Gray" because when I read the review I was interested in knowing what will happen. And now I'm very happy because I really enjoyed it.



The picture of Dorian Gray is about a painter (Basil) who paints the most beautiful picture he'd painted in his life. This portrait is about Dorin Gray, he is very beautifull, and he's plenty of youth, and Basil said that he'd put too of himself into it. Dorian wished that he could always stay young and the picture could grow old. It wished that because he was influenced by Lord Henry, Harry for friends, a friend of Basil who became also friend of Dorian and he was a bad influence for him. The wish became true and finally Dorian couldn't suppot that pressure and he...

If you like the book read it and you will know the end!! ;)
It's a great book, I like it very much. I think it0s a book for adults and also teenagers, no younger than I. It talks about the youth and how important it can be, but finally it's a completely disaster because you can't support the pressure of having a portrait that becomes older and uglier and if you can, you're really the worts person I've ver known!



Finally the sentence which I like the most:
"When we are happy, we are allways good, but when we are good we are not always happy" said Lord Henry.

S I M P L E P L A N ! !

Two weeks ago, Silvia Pujol, Laura Codinach and I, did an oral presentation about Simple Plan: their history, thier Cd's, thier life, all the events they've made, etc.

Precisely I said this:
"Because it’s a very famous group which everybody knows, the members of the group are fantastic and also the music is brilliant. The songs have their own feeling. And finally we choose them because if you go to their concerts you can see that they play music because they really like it."

"They realised their first album in 2002 called No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls. The record was originally released in the United States with twelve songs and the record also contained vocals from singers from two other pop-punk bands like Good Charlotte and Blink 182."

"Simple Plan is a really amazing band and they’ve made music for all social problems that happened in everyone’s lives, for example, their songs transmit your heart break, a loosing family, your fear, problems of world, etc. Those songs help you to understand your life.
When we started this project we didn’t know anything about their life, we only know their songs which are very popular.
Now we’re going to listen a song of they called “Save you” that talks about cancer."

I said this part of the presentation and my friends said the others. I think that we do a good oral presentation, and we also had a power point with photos and some text.

MY TOWN!

Our teacher gave us some work: comparing New York and Olot, but everyone knows that the USA is more popular and bigger.

I think that Olot is a normal city with some traffic and also lot of cars. But if you compare it with NY, the last is the largest and it has got more cars than Olot of course, because it has got eight and a half million people living there and each one has a car. Olot has only got thirty two million habitants, so it is smaller than New York.

But in Olot there’s beautiful landscape with lot of forests, houses and some high buildings, just the opposite to New York, because it has lots of high buildings! Well, in New York all the buildings are high except for some. In New York, there’s only the Central Park in the middle of Manhattan, and Olot is surrounded by nature, and also it is very quiet and it has got all you need to have a good and comfortable live. So, New York has got more pollution than Olot. New York is the most contaminated city!

New York is also a beautiful city but I like living in Olot, because it’s near the beach and also the ski tracks. You can go there by car in just two hours.

I went to New York two years ago, and I really liked it. But I think that New York is more spectacular than Olot, with its building and all the people living there, it’s fantastic.

If you buy things in New York they are more expensive than in Olot and also if you want to live there, you have to change your life completely. Food is also different; it’s healthier in Olot than in NY. Because I think that in New York you eat lot of candy and also fast food.

The true is that I live in Sant Feliu de Pallerols, one village near Olot and I can confirm that Sant Feliu is the cleanest and quietest city.

COMPOSITION:

Here there's my composition of Unit 2, I think. We had to do it, with 10 objects that our teacher said to us. It wasn't very difficult, but you'd to think about it. I hope you'll enjoy my composition!

Once upon a time, Mr. Smith and his three children: two girls and a boy. They all were living in a normal house, in California, USA. But Mr Smith wife was dead.

Mr Smith had a lot of money and some estrange things: a radio that can tune people’s thought’s, a magic Jacuzzi, a magic cash card, a magic washing machine that rinse out ones problems, a suitcase that holds anything and a pair of training super sonic shoes for speeding. But Smith children’s didn’t know that.

Two weeks later, Smith committed suicide. His old daughter found his testament and she read it: “Dear children, I committed suicide because I don’t do anything here, in the earth. I leave these things to you: Dina you can go to the roof and take my magic credit card that always has money and a magic Jacuzzi, Alan, my only son, you can take a radio that you can tune people’s thought’s and also my magic washing machine that rinse your problems, and finally my little daughter, Rouse, you can take a suitcase that holds anything and my training super sonic shoes for speeding. I also have one more thing… a hamster who’s really a pop star. That’s all. I hope you have a good life and you were always happy.”

They all felt sad but also curious about these things because they didn’t know anything about their existence. Then they left the house and did their separate lives.

Dina didn’t stop to buy things and she finally lived in a very big and luxury palace, with her magic Jacuzzi that relaxed her. She became a feminist princess of Europe. She has all she wanted. But she never had love.

Alan was always listening to people’s thoughts and if he listened to a problem he put it in the wash machine! It was also fantastic and he finally wanted to be a punk! He became popular too because he had one virtue: Knowing people’s thoughts. But despite everything, he didn’t have love.

Finally, Rouse with her hamster, the suitcase and a pair of training shoes became a pop star like the hamster. They did lots of concert, they put megaphones and instruments inside the suitcase and then they travelled around the world with training super sonic shoes! But they didn’t have love…

At that moment, they thought if the committed suicide of their father was good or bad. Since their father died, they didn’t have love…

After years they met again and decided to live in the same house, to share their strange things and to give love among them!

VolLeyBaLL! ;)

Well, today I would like to talk about my team of volleyball!


We play with Club Volei Estructures Olot.

I think we are a good team but not always we are happy during the match and then we lost :(
We often win! But this year, we are planying with other girls bigger than we! And then we lost...

We also have got a mascot, it's a beaautiful dog, but it hasn't got name!

and our coach, called Florin (he's the father of Anna) He's from Romania!




Two years ago, we had other coach called Pau Llach, I forget him... because he was a very good trainer! I like very much he!
We hope that he will return! :) Because now he's in Murcia! There he plays volleyball and he also studies.
